- 6 Hot dogs
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 Eggs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
- Whisk together milk and eggs in another bowl.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Dip each hot dog into the batter until fully coated.
- Place the coated hot dogs in the air fryer basket.
- Lightly spray with oil and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Use a stick or skewer for easier handling when dipping. Make the batter thick enough to coat the hot dogs without being too thick. Experiment with different hot dogs for unique flavors.
