Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles

  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Tomato sauce
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese

  • Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, sauté chopped onions and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with salt and pepper.
  7. In a baking dish, layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure you cook the noodles al dente so they don’t get mushy when baking. For an extra cheesy experience, add more mozzarella and Parmesan to the top.
