- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the flour and baking soda together in a bowl; set aside.
- Cream together the room temperature butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
- Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the semisweet chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoon amounts of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with a glass of milk or ice cream. Optionally sprinkle with sea salt before baking.
