Delightful twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie with a rich flavor and chewy texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the flour and baking soda together in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream together the room temperature butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
  5. Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the semisweet chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoon amounts of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with a glass of milk or ice cream. Optionally sprinkle with sea salt before baking.
