- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Water
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, water, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture into the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator.
Notes
Adjust sweetness to taste and add chili flakes for heat if desired. Store cooled sauce in an airtight container for up to one week.
