- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Ice cream for topping
- Maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Top each cookie with a scoop of ice cream and a cherry once cooled.
Notes
