Deliciously warm and soft Butter Dip Biscuits, perfect for breakfast or as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 2½ cups self-rising flour
  • 1¾ cups whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line an 8×8-inch metal baking pan with aluminum foil.
  2. Cut the butter into chunks and place in the foil-lined pan. Melt in the preheating oven for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Mix the self-rising flour and sugar in a bowl using a whisk. Add milk and stir until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
  5. Score the surface into 9 squares using a butter knife.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and fluffy.
  7. Remove from oven and let sit for 5-10 minutes before cutting along the scored lines.

Notes

Best served warm with butter, honey, or jam. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
