Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or more to taste)
Instructions
- Bring a medium pot of water to a rolling boil. Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain the noodles. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute.
- Add the grated parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons of the reserved pasta water. Stir until the cheese melts.
- Add the cooked pasta, chopped parsley, and black pepper. Toss until well combined. If the noodles seem dry, add more pasta water as needed.
Notes
For extra flavor, serve with more parmesan cheese and fresh parsley on top. Works well as a side dish alongside grilled chicken or roasted vegetables.
