- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 1 lb chicken breast (sliced)
- 8 oz sausage (smoked or andouille, sliced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 1 bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup parmesan cheese (grated)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced chicken and sausage; cook until browned.
- Add chopped onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic; sauté until vegetables are soft.
- Stir in cajun seasoning and cook for another minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet; mix well to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley on top.
Notes
For a lighter version, use whole wheat pasta or low-fat cream. Adjust cajun seasoning for desired spice level.
