Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Season the steak strips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add the steak to the skillet and sear until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in diced tomatoes and chicken broth, bringing to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta and seared steak back to the skillet, tossing to combine.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
Notes
Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to suit your taste. For added flavor, consider marinating the steak in the Cajun seasoning for a few hours before cooking.
