Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry or pie dough
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ketchup for serving
  • Mustard for serving
  • Dipping sauces of choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry or pie dough on a floured surface. Cut into squares or circles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and shredded cheese in the center of each dough piece.
  6. Fold the dough over to form a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Seal the edges well to prevent leaking. Optionally brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
