- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 sheet puff pastry or pie dough
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Ketchup for serving
- Mustard for serving
- Dipping sauces of choice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
- Roll out the puff pastry or pie dough on a floured surface. Cut into squares or circles.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and shredded cheese in the center of each dough piece.
- Fold the dough over to form a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Seal the edges well to prevent leaking. Optionally brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
