- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced (for sauce)
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs or oval patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the kofta for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, and additional minced garlic to create the garlic yogurt sauce.
- Serve the chicken kofta with the creamy garlic yogurt sauce drizzled on top, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro.
Notes
Serve the kofta warm with pita bread, rice, or a fresh salad. Optionally, include extra lemon wedges.
