- 2 lbs pork shoulder, cubed
- 1 lb tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 jalapeños, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Combine the pork, tomatillos, onion, garlic, jalapeños, chicken broth, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker.
- Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or on high for 240 minutes (4 hours), until the pork is tender.
- Shred the pork in the sauce and stir to combine.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
Notes
For a richer flavor, sear the pork before adding it to the slow cooker. Adjust the spice level by using more jalapeños if desired.
