- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup vanilla custard
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm.
- Stir in yeast and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Add the milk mixture, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into small portions.
- Roll out each portion, fill with vanilla custard and chocolate chips, then reshape into balls.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet, cover them, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush each brioche with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your fluffy brioche!

Serve warm or at room temperature, dusted with powdered sugar for extra delight.
