- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 400g canned tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup red wine
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, and red wine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the Bolognese sauce.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the sauce simmer longer than 30 minutes. Use a mixture of meats for a richer taste. Adjust the seasoning to your liking.
