- 500g chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Naan or steamed rice for serving
Instructions
- Combine yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and salt in a bowl.
- Add chicken, coat well, and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add onions, and cook until soft.
- Add garlic and ginger; sauté for another minute.
- Stir in marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add diced tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, alongside naan or steamed rice.
Notes
Marinate chicken for longer for enhanced flavor. Use fresh spices for the best taste.
