Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the smoked sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the onion, bell peppers, and garlic; sauté until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the Cajun seasoning, followed by the heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked penne to the skillet, stirring to combine everything together.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add extra Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes. You can use any type of smoked sausage you like. Consider adding more vegetables like spinach or zucchini for added nutrition.
