Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large Roma tomatoes, cored and sliced 1/8-inch thick
- 1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt, plus more to taste
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp white vinegar (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and dry the tomatoes thoroughly. Slice them into uniform 1/8-inch rounds. Use paper towels to pat the slices dry and remove any excess moisture.
- Toss the dried tomato slices gently with olive oil and optional vinegar in a large bowl. Add the seasonings: salt, garlic powder, dried oregano, and black pepper. Toss again to coat evenly.
- Preheat your air fryer to 225°F.
- Arrange the seasoned tomato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
- Cook the tomato slices for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking for even crispness.
- Transfer the chips immediately to a wire cooling rack. Let them cool completely for 5 minutes to allow them to crisp up fully.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Ensure the tomato slices are uniform in thickness for even cooking. Pat the slices dry well to prevent sogginess. Experiment with different seasonings for varied flavors.
