Delightful and healthy crispy halloumi cheese bites made in the air fryer, perfect as a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Halloumi cheese (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika (optional for added flavor)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 pinch Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Cut the halloumi cheese into 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Toss the halloumi cubes in the spice mixture until they are evenly coated.
  5. Place the coated halloumi in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the halloumi is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Carefully remove the halloumi bites and serve hot.

Notes

Best served hot with a tangy tzatziki or spicy sriracha sauce. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
