- 6–8 Croissants cut into halves or thirds
- 10–12 slices deli meat (ham, prosciutto, turkey breast, salami)
- 3–4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
- 8–10 slices swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup mozzarella
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 tbsp fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)
Instructions
- Cut croissant pieces into thirds.
- In a bowl, combine milk, spices, eggs, and herbs. Whisk until mixed well.
- Dunk the croissant pieces into the milk mixture and shake off the excess liquid.
- Lay the soaked croissant pieces into a baking dish, filling it up.
- Add slices of deli meat and cheese into the spaces between the croissants.
- In another bowl, mix together honey, butter, and herbs.
- Bake the casserole at 350°F until the cheese melts, basting it with the honey butter mixture during baking for extra flavor.
Notes
Serve warm with fresh fruit or a side salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
