A delightful breakfast casserole combining flaky croissants with savory meats, cheeses, and a creamy egg mixture.

Ingredients

  • 68 Croissants cut into halves or thirds
  • 1012 slices deli meat (ham, prosciutto, turkey breast, salami)
  • 34 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
  • 810 slices swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Cut croissant pieces into thirds.
  2. In a bowl, combine milk, spices, eggs, and herbs. Whisk until mixed well.
  3. Dunk the croissant pieces into the milk mixture and shake off the excess liquid.
  4. Lay the soaked croissant pieces into a baking dish, filling it up.
  5. Add slices of deli meat and cheese into the spaces between the croissants.
  6. In another bowl, mix together honey, butter, and herbs.
  7. Bake the casserole at 350°F until the cheese melts, basting it with the honey butter mixture during baking for extra flavor.

Notes

Serve warm with fresh fruit or a side salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
