- 2 cups canned beans (black beans or pinto beans), rinsed and drained
- 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, guacamole, lettuce
Instructions
- Mash the beans in a bowl and mix in cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Lay a tortilla flat and add a portion of the bean mixture and a sprinkle of cheese.
- Roll the tortilla tightly to encase the filling.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the rolled burritos seam-side down.
- Cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with optional toppings.
Notes
Make sure to rinse the beans well to remove excess sodium. You can add other ingredients like corn or peppers for extra flavor.
