Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips (or your favorite add-ins)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
- Grease a baking dish (9×9 inches works well) and press half of the cookie dough into the bottom evenly.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cookie layer, spreading it out smoothly.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Take the remaining cookie dough and drop spoonfuls over the top, spreading it as best as you can. It’s okay if some cream cheese is peeking through.
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares.
Notes
These bars are best served chilled and can be topped with whipped cream or fresh fruits for an extra touch.
