- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup French onion soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyere)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Mix the ground beef, chopped onions, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs and place them in the crock pot.
- Pour the French onion soup over the meatballs.
- Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes or on high for 240 minutes.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the meatballs 30 minutes before serving and cover again to allow the cheese to melt.
- Serve warm and enjoy your savory meatballs!
Notes
For a lighter option, try using ground turkey or chicken. Adjust seasonings to taste, and sauté onions for added flavor.
