- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, brown sugar, ketchup, vegetable oil, and vinegar to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes or overnight for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until cooked through and the juices run clear.
- Serve hot and enjoy your authentic Filipino BBQ!
Notes
For extra char and flavor, you can baste the chicken with some marinade while grilling, but be sure to cook it before using it to avoid raw chicken contamination.
