- 1 lb sirloin steak
- 1 cup queso cheese
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the sirloin steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cumin. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the cooked rice and queso cheese, mixing until the cheese is melted and the rice is heated through.
- Add the sliced steak back into the skillet and combine everything.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro.
Notes
For an extra touch, add some avocado or a dollop of sour cream. Pair with tortilla chips for a complete meal.
