Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos
  • 8 to 10 mozzarella cheese sticks, cut in half
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) – optional
  • Grated parmesan – optional
  • Chili flakes – optional

Instructions

  1. Cut mozzarella sticks in half and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Put Doritos in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour mixture, egg wash, and crushed Doritos.
  4. Roll each cheese piece in flour, then dip in egg wash and coat with Doritos.
  5. Heat oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry coated cheese pieces for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove the fried cheese and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
