Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add mushrooms, bell pepper, and onion. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Return the steak to the skillet and mix with the vegetables.
  6. Place the mixture onto hoagie rolls and top each with provolone cheese.
  7. Place the sandwiches under a broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

For best flavor, use ribeye steak and don’t overcrowd the skillet. Consider adding jalapeños or hot sauce for extra kick.
