- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme), chopped
Instructions
- Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foam forms.
- Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Knead until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough, shape it into balls, and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes.
- Brush with melted garlic butter and sprinkle with herbs.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, offer some extra garlic butter for dipping. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
