Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup chocolate fudge sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to cake mix instructions. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Combine cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix according to package instructions and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes. Poke holes all over the top of the cake using the end of a wooden spoon.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk and chocolate fudge sauce over the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the cooled cake, and top with shredded coconut and chopped pecans.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Serve the cake chilled for the best flavor and texture. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
