Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak, cut into strips
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Season the steak with salt and pepper; sear for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the steak and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter in the same skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the honey and soy sauce; bring to a simmer.
- Add the uncooked rice, stirring to coat it in the sauce. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the rice absorbs the liquid.
- Return the steak to the skillet; stir gently to combine and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley. Pairs well with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
