Ingredients
Scale
- 3 lb chicken wings (fresh)
- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
- Combine the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl and whisk until well combined.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken wings, ensuring they are well coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for even cooking.
- Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
- Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the rack, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Baste the wings with any leftover marinade during the last 5-10 minutes of baking for extra flavor.
- Switch to broil for the last 3-5 minutes for added crispiness, watching closely to avoid burning.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before garnishing with freshly chopped parsley and serving.
Notes
For even crispier wings, consider air-frying them after marinating. Adjust spice levels to your preference.
