Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1.75 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 medium Apples, diced
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 12 tbsp Milk for Glaze
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract for Glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until well incorporated.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently into the batter.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
  8. Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  11. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using a mix of sweet and tart apples. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
