- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1.75 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 medium Apples, diced
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1–2 tbsp Milk for Glaze
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract for Glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until well incorporated.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples gently into the batter.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
- Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using a mix of sweet and tart apples. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
