- 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 Package Hawaiian rolls (16 ounces)
- 10 slices cooked bacon
- 1 pound deli turkey, thinly sliced or shredded leftover turkey
- 6 slices white cheddar cheese
- 3 teaspoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons dried onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Add 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sliced onions to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté until caramelized.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise and place the bottom half into your baking dish.
- Add bacon in an even layer on top of the bottom rolls.
- Next, add a layer of turkey, followed by caramelized onions and cheese.
- Place the top bun layer back onto the sliders.
- Mix the remaining melted butter, maple syrup, dried onion, and poppy seeds. Brush generously across the tops of the slider buns.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until cooked through and cheese is melted.
- Optional: Put cooked sliders under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes to brown the top.
- Garnish the warm sliders with minced fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, add toppings like pickles or lettuce, and consider using other cheese varieties.
