- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter and add any optional toppings.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve with maple syrup, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar. Store leftovers in an airtight container; freeze for longer storage.
