Delightful sliders that combine ham, turkey, Swiss cheese, and a hint of sweetness, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices of ham
  • 12 slices of turkey
  • 12 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/3 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Raspberry or strawberry jam (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare your 9X13 inch baking pan by spraying it with non-stick spray.
  2. Slice the whole package of rolls (without separating them). Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Place half of the cheese slices onto the rolls, then layer on all of the ham and turkey, followed by the other half of the cheese slices. Place the top halves of the rolls on top.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, the egg, and pepper. Brush this mixture all over the sliders.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted. If the buns start turning too brown, cover them loosely with tented tin foil.
  6. Once the buns are done baking, remove them from the oven and sprinkle on a little bit of powdered sugar. Serve with some jam or maple syrup if you like.

Notes

Use fresh Hawaiian rolls for the best flavor. You can make a vegetarian version by replacing the ham and turkey with grilled vegetables and using a plant-based cheese.
