  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 (3.4 oz) packages chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 (12 oz) container whipped topping
  • 1 package of butter cookies
  • Chocolate shavings or chips (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding mix with milk according to package instructions and set aside.
  3. In a 9×13 inch dish, layer half of the butter cookies to create a bottom layer.
  4. Spread half of the peanut butter mixture over the cookies, followed by half of the chocolate pudding.
  5. Then add a layer of whipped topping.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Top with more whipped topping and garnish with chocolate shavings or chips if desired.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
