A delicious one-pan meal that combines Cajun seasoning with creamy pasta and steak for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove from the skillet.
  3. Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring to a boil. Stir in the pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Return the seared steak to the skillet and mix well with the sauce. Stir in the butter until melted.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Make sure to cut the steak into evenly sized cubes for even cooking. Adjust Cajun seasoning to suit your spice preference.
