Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Cook shrimp until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in orzo and chicken broth, bringing to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and cover, cooking until orzo is tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese and heavy cream.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the shrimp; they should only take a few minutes to turn pink. Stir the orzo occasionally while it cooks to prevent sticking. Feel free to adjust garlic and Parmesan cheese to taste.
