A comforting one-pot meal featuring tender sirloin steak, creamy sauce, and orzo pasta, packed with rich garlic and butter flavors.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from pot and set aside.
  2. Add minced garlic to the pot and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the orzo and toast for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth, bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for about 10 minutes until orzo is al dente.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, butter, and Parmesan cheese until combined.
  6. Return the steak to the pot and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a healthier version, use whole grain orzo and reduce the amount of heavy cream. Adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms also enhances the nutrition.
