Ingredients
Scale
- 180 grams white chocolate chips
- 115 grams unsalted butter
- 45 millilitres heavy whipping cream
- 0.5 teaspoon orange flavour extract
- 3 drops orange food colouring
- 30 grams powdered sugar
Instructions
- Place the white chocolate chips in a medium, heatproof bowl. Add the orange flavour extract and food colouring. Set aside.
- Melt the butter over low heat in a medium saucepan. Once melted, increase the heat to medium and add the heavy cream. Whisk until combined and cook just until the mixture begins to simmer. Remove from heat promptly.
- Pour the hot cream mixture over the white chocolate, orange extract, and food colouring. Immediately whisk until the chocolate fully melts and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate until the ganache is well chilled and firm.
- Scoop the chilled ganache into 12 portions and roll each into a smooth ball using clean hands. Roll each truffle in powdered sugar to coat.
- Place the finished truffles in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour until completely firm before serving.
Notes
Use high-quality white chocolate for best results. Adjust the orange flavour extract to taste for a stronger flavor.
