- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine the mashed potatoes and shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into sticks or logs.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Dip each potato stick first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry the potato cheese sticks until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
Notes
Best served warm with your favorite dipping sauce like ketchup, ranch dressing, or spicy salsa. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
