A hearty and comforting quiche made with crispy bacon, creamy eggs, and a medley of vegetables, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Unbaked Pie Crust (Store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 medium Yellow Onions (Caramelized)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (Can substitute with olive oil)
  • 8 slices Bacon (Smoked bacon preferred)
  • 6 large Eggs (Organic recommended)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (Or Half-and-Half)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 cup Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese (Gruyère can be used as a substitute)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (Chopped chives or parsley)
  • 1 cup Vegetables (Diced tomatoes, spinach, or bell peppers)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 20 minutes. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove it from the skillet and chop into small pieces.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and heavy cream together. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Stir in the caramelized onions, chopped bacon, grated cheese, fresh herbs, and any vegetables you wish to add.
  6. Place the unbaked pie crust into a deep-dish pie pan and pour the egg mixture into the crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with a side salad or fresh fruit. Can be customized with different vegetables or meats.
