Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the heavy cream to the caramelized onions and stir gently to combine.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet, coating it evenly with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, consider including garlic when sautéing the onions or adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat.
