A delightful one-pan meal featuring steak and penne pasta in a creamy Cajun sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (cut into strips)
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add steak strips seasoned with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning; cook until browned (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic until softened (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Stir in chicken broth and uncooked penne pasta; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked through (10-12 minutes).
  4. Mix in heavy cream and return the cooked steak to the skillet; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to suit your taste. For a healthier version, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
