- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- ½ cup butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon maple extract
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for glaze)
- ¼ cup maple syrup (for glaze)
- milk (for glaze, as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
- Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and maple extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Mix in the sour cream and milk until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool completely.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, melted butter, maple syrup, and maple extract for the glaze. Add milk slowly until the glaze is pourable.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the cooled bars and allow it to set before slicing.
Notes
Best served at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week. Freeze for up to 2 months.
