- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
Instructions
- Mix the sourdough starter, pineapple juice, and active dry yeast; let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in another bowl.
- Add the sourdough mixture, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes, then let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into rolls.
- Place the rolls into a greased pan, cover, and let rise for another 30-60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These rolls are best served warm and can be used for sandwiches, dipping, or sliders.
