Instructions
- Mix the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until it doubles in size (about 240-360 minutes).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased bread pan, cover it, and let it rise again until it doubles in size (about 60-120 minutes).
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until it is golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
Notes
Ensure your sourdough starter is active for the best results. Let the dough rise in a warm area if your kitchen is cold.
