- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes
- 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Add chicken pieces and season with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Pour over cooked chicken in the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with sauce. Sprinkle shredded pepper jack cheese on top and cover for 2 minutes to melt.
- Serve hot garnished with sliced green onions.
Notes
Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your spice level preference. Adding vegetables like bell peppers or spinach can enhance the dish.
