- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Mix together the BBQ sauce, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Let them rest before slicing.
- Return the sliced chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over it. Stir to coat the chicken and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together to combine well with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Let chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy. Feel free to add vegetables for extra nutrition.
