A comforting casserole combining ground beef, green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crispy Tater Tots.

  • Total Time: 60 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can green beans (15 oz), drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
  • 1 bag frozen Tater Tots (32 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
  3. Combine the browned beef, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until evenly mixed.
  4. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and arrange a single layer of frozen Tater Tots on the bottom.
  5. Spread half of the beef mixture over the Tater Tots and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
  6. Add a second layer of Tater Tots, then top with the remaining beef mixture and remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the Tater Tots are crisp and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before scooping and serving.

Notes

For a crispy top, broil the casserole for a few minutes at the end of baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
