Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- A pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Whip the heavy whipping cream in a mixing bowl on medium speed until soft peaks form, which takes about 3-5 minutes.
- Prepare the gelatin by sprinkling it over cold water in a separate bowl and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Then, whisk in the vanilla extract and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Combine the melted butter mixture with the whipped cream and gently fold until incorporated.
- Add the softened gelatin (which you should microwave briefly to dissolve) into the whipped cream mixture, folding gently to keep it airy.
- Place the mixture in a clean bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it chill for at least 60 minutes before using.
Notes
